The French artist Karine Barrera uses many different techniques to create jewellery in many different styles. She especially likes faux techniques in polymer clay and her wood, horn or gemstone imitations are great. The lapis lazuli imitation rings look just like the right thing, don’t they?

Batik is a technique in which the resist (usually melted wax) is printed on fabric that is subsequently soaked in different colour and the resist is removed in boiling water. This technique is always a bit experimental, very pleasant to do and the results are always astonishing.
