The story behind the brand WizArts is truly a complex one. Its owners, the married couple Melinda Puhó and Attila Borbás, came to the United States in the search of free space which would allow them to creatively express themselves and share their magic with others. Being born in countries of the former Eastern Bloc – Melinda comes from Romania and Attila from Hungary – they both realized the value of freedom very early on.
Melinda says that when they met in college, they quickly realized that they both have very a very similar view of the world and a very close artistic mindset. Their purpose in life is to elevate the consciousness of others who resonate with their art.
That’s why they decided to immigrate to America to fulfill their childhood dreams of sharing their unique creative vision with the world. The beginning in the new country wasn’t easy, but they managed to start their brand in 2016 and since 2017 they have been selling and exhibiting their art at various juried art shows throughout California.
Both artists are self-taught, they learnt entirely by experimentation and developed their own techniques. Attila first encountered polymer clay in 2015. He says that he knew immediately that the medium was the most suitable material for his self-expression. He appreciates its versatility, pliability and ability to create very fine details. It also works well with other materials – they often combine it with gemstones, is extremely durable and easy to wear. Melinda often employs polymer appliqué using her handmade glow-in-the-dark polymer clay.
Together Melinda and Attila create unique, hand-sculpted jewellery that are imbued with their beliefs and values. They are inspired by the enormous and fascinating energy that forms and surrounds everything. The beauty, symbolism, and sacred geometry of nature are so important in their artwork. Another major influence on their work is the realm of fantasy. They constantly strive to develop and expand their skills and creative visions.
Their pieces remind us of ancient amulets that reflect the complexity of universe and its harmonious functioning. Above all, they prove that whatever we can dream, we can do because dreams create our reality.

Příběh značky WizArts je opravdu spletitý. Její majitelé, manželé Melinda Puhó a Attila Borbás, přišli do Spojených Států ve snaze najít svobodné místo, které by jim umožnilo se kreativně vyjadřovat a sdílet jejich kouzlo s ostatními. Protože se oba narodili v zemích bývalého východního bloku – Melinda pochází z Rumunska a Attila z Maďarska – oba si uvědomili hodnotu svobody velmi brzy.
Melinda říká, že když se při studiu na vysoké škole potkali, velmi rychle si uvědomili, že jejich pohled na svět a nastavení mysli jsou velmi podobné. Jejich životním úkolem je pozvedat vědomí těch, kteří s jejich tvorbou rezonují. To byl také důvod, proč se rozhodli přestěhovat do Ameriky, aby si splnili to, co si vysnili už v dětství – že budou sdílet svoje kreativní vize s ostatními. Začátky v nové zemi nebyly zrovna snadné, ale přesto zvládli v roce 2016 založit svou vlastní značku a od roku 2017 tvoří a prodávají svoje výrobky a zároveň se účastní mnoha uměleckých výstav napříč celou Kalifornií.
Oba jsou samouci, učili se prostřednictvím experimentování a vyvinuli si své vlastní techniky práce s polymerem. Attila se poprvé setkal s polymerovou hmotou v roce 2015. Říká, že okamžitě věděl, že je to ten nejlepší materiál k sebevyjádření. Oceňuje jeho všestrannost, tvárnost a to, že mu umožňuje vytvářet ty nejjemnější detaily. Dá se také výborně kombinovat s dalšími materiály – často jej doplňují drahými kameny. Polymer je také extrémně trvanlivý a příjemně se nosí. Melinda často používá techniku aplikace drobných ornamentů s použitím vlastnoručně vyráběné hmoty, která ve tmě svítí.
Melinda a Attila spolu tvoří jedinečné šperky, které jsou prostoupeny jejich vírou, názory a hodnotami. Inspirují se nezměrnou a fascinující energií, která vše tvoří a obklopuje. Krása, symbolika a posvátná geometrie jsou v jejich tvorbě velmi důležité. Další inspiraci čerpají z říše fantazie. Neustále se snaží rozvíjet a rozšiřovat své schopnosti a tvůrčí vize.
