This class blends polymer clay with wirework and mixed media to create a necklace that carries the spirit of tribal adornment and the edge of contemporary jewelry. Together with Barbara, you’ll learn how to form individual polymer beads in various shapes, highlighted by a focal Spinner Triangle at the center of this striking choker design.

Barbara Briggs is an American multimedia artist who has worked with fiber, ceramics, paper, beadwork, metal, and polymer clay. A passionate polymer clay artist, Margita Alsina has been immersed in the medium since 2014. Over the past decade, she has honed a diverse range of techniques, driven by a deep curiosity and commitment to creative growth. Margita thrives on observing how fellow artists interpret their materials and generously shares her own insights with the polymer clay community. Her journey is rooted in exploration, collaboration, and the belief that art is a lifelong learning process.

When life hands you lemons, don’t accept the defeat! Margita turns a simple fruit into a bold, expressive sculpture with teeth, texture, and attitude. You’ll explore how subtle details bring emotion to life, and learn to modify your piece into a cartoonish or, if you dare, a scarier creation. This playful class celebrates resilience through creativity, proving that even sour moments can spark something sweet.

In this detailed class, Melissa captures the beauty of nature through polymer clay. You’ll learn to create a dimensional bird scene, combining hand-sculpted feathers, branches, and autumn leaves within a framed composition. Using layered colors, fine textures, and varied techniques, Melissa will guide you in crafting your own piece of art, perfect as wall decor, a framed display, or a statement brooch.

Eduardo’s class explores the dynamic surface possibilities of polymer clay. You’ll learn to hand-build pots without molds or forms, then add geometric patterns that glow with color and subtle texture using liquid clay and fine glass inclusions. The result is a modern, neon-lit vessel that shines both in daylight and under UV light.

Eduardo Farillo is an American polymer clay artist who has been working with the medium since childhood. After briefly selling polymer clay jewelry, he pursued a career in music education and performance. Now, as a first-time father and stay-at-home parent, he has returned to polymer clay with renewed focus, exploring faux ceramic pots and intricate polymer clay flowers and plants.

Inspired by childhood memories of windswept beaches and melting cones, Claire’s playful project celebrates the nostalgia of simple pleasures. Using cane techniques and subtle color blending, she guides you in creating a polymer clay brooch or pendant that captures the charm of creamy chocolate drips and crisp wafer textures.

Living in the scenic Scottish Highlands, Claire Wallis has been working with polymer clay for over fifteen years and was instantly captivated by the millefiori technique. She combines large, complex, painterly canes with simple forms to create eye-catching jewelry inspired by her love of nature. When she’s not working with clay, Claire enjoys painting and exploring her interest in archaeology.
